ACCOUNTING INDUSTRIAL WATER AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Global warming threatens with a wide range of water crises. The study of water use from a sustainability perspective is therefore one of the key issues today.
The Operational Water and Energy Efficiency Review (full-water audit) examines the elements and steps of the plant's water treatment and their energy balance and efficiency from water procurement to wastewater treatment.
The general aim of the review is to identify the points in the water-related processes of the plant where the efficiency and effectiveness, or the emissions and effects associated with the operation, do not meet the requirements of today, the increasingly strict legal regulations in force.
The three objectives of the review in relation to industrial water and wastewater treatment are: 1.) to explore losses and savings opportunities; 2). detection of legal non-compliances on the water-wastewater line; 3). examination of energetic and thermodynamic issues related to water treatment.
In addition, they may be taken into account in the review and incorporated into the audit
- the business objectives of the plant (customer / management), in absolute terms or by benchmarking (eg reduction of total water consumption,
- Reduction of CO2 impact,
- specific reduction of water usage (liter/product),
- or a target system determined by any other compliance parameter.
